Shameless Self Promotion?

I think one of the best parts about being in college is doing things that are educational and interesting purely because you want to. It doesn't have to be an assignment or requirement or part of a job description. In the real world, people do projects just because something deep down inside them wants to. And I love that.
So, what does that have to do anything?
Well, on the note of self motivated projects, myself and a lot of other students over the course of the semester have undertaken what is known in the Honors College as the First Year Project. It's basically a credit hour of any project or thing you want to do for the semester. Like, I personally wrote a play. I know other people have done things with science or architecture or visual art and the like. So if any of those things interest you and you want to see myself and a bunch of other Freshman in business casual attire giving one minute speeches to dozens of people over the course of two hours in a science fair- esque setting, then you should come to the showcase on Thursday (tomorrow? Ah!) from 4-6 pm in the North Ballroom (third floor of the student union). It's free and they'll have free food and I'll have my play and a poster that I got very crafty with and I'll totally give you a high five and be all happy to see you or something. I also realize that that last sentence had six (?) conjunctions in it. Also, most of the sentences before that were run-ons. I'm calling it a stylistic choice.
